(BRUNEL ROAD, THEALE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2019

West Berkshire District Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an order in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over Brunel Road for a distance of some 200 metres westbound from the Brunel Road/Waterside Drive roundabout. The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order is via Waterside Drive, Bath Road (A4), Unnamed Road from Bath Road to Station Road (Slip Road off A4), Station Road, Brunel Road, and vice versa. The purpose of this Order is to enable contractors to connect up to utilities within the carriageway. The proposed Order will come into effect on 2nd September 2019. It is envisaged that the closure will be in place between 2nd September 2019 and 6th September 2019 during the hours of 6pm to 6am each night. The Order shall remain in force for a period of Eighteen months, or until the works are complete, whichever is the soonest. The Order shall not take effect until signs in accordance with The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 have been erected.
