WEST BERKSHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL

(GREEN LANE, PANGBOURNE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2019

West Berkshire District Council has made an Order in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over Green Lane between its junction with Courtlands Hill and its junction with A340 (Tidmarsh Road). The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order is via Bere Court Road, Pangbourne Hill, A340, and vice versa.

The purpose of this Order is to enable contractors to reinstate the carriageway.

The proposed Order will come into effect on 12th August 2019. It is envisaged that the closure will be in place between 9.30am and 3.30pm on the 14th August 2019. The Order shall remain in force for a period of Eighteen months, or until the works are complete, whichever is the soonest.

The Order shall not take effect until signs in accordance

with The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions

2016 have been erected
