Temporary Closure of Public Footpath No 15, Symondsbury
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic [Temporary Restrictions] Act 1991. All pedestrians will be prohibited from proceeding along Footpath No 15, from grid reference SY 464 921 to grid reference SY 464 919, a distance of approximately 225 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on the 5 August 2019, for a period of 10 weeks. But it may be extended, with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport, if necessary. The order is required to allow Kier Infrastructure to carry out stabilisation works to flood wall at Palmers Brewery. There will be a locally signed diversion in place.
