Temporary Closure of Public Footpath No 17, Symondsbury
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic [Temporary Restrictions] Act 1991. All pedestrians will be prohibited from proceeding along Footpath No 17, from grid reference SY 460 920 to grid reference SY 461 921, a distance of approximately 80 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on the 29 July 2019, for a period of 26 weeks. But it may be extended, with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport, if necessary. The order is required to allow a building development to take place. There will be a locally signed diversion in place.
