WEST BERKSHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL

UNDER SECTION 14/1 OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 WEST BERKSHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL (THE COUNCIL) INTENDS TO MAKE ORDERS

AS FOLLOWING

POLLARDS WAY, THE CHASE AND MILL LANE, HOLYBROOK (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING,

TURNING PROHIBITION, NO WAITING AND

SUSPENSION OF BUS GATE) ORDER 2019

The Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over the roads listed below.

1. Mill Lane, between its junction with the A4 and Carters Rise.



2. The Chase and Pollards Way between their junctions with Calbourne Drive and Ledbury Drive.



To facilitate these closures and to allow access the following restrictions will also apply as necessary, no left or right turn into or out of Mill Lane at the A4 junction. The buses only restriction between Pollards way and The Chase will be suspended for the duration of the closures and the bus gate itself will be temporarily filled. No waiting will be allowed on the roads to be closed or their diversion routes for the duration of any closure. The purpose of this Order is to enable gas main replacement. The proposed Order will come into effect on 22nd July 2019. It is envisaged that the closures will be in place between 22nd July and 4th October 2019. Details of the closures will be advertised locally and on site as the works progress.

(SHORTHEATH LANE, SULHAMSTEAD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2019

The Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over Shortheath Lane between its junction with Island Farm Road and its junction with Whites Hill. The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order is via Whites Hill, Kingston Lane, Sulhamstead Hill, Sulhamstead Road, Island farm Road, and vice versa. The purpose of this Order is to enable contractors to carry out a new (water) service connection The proposed Order will come into effect on 22nd July 2019. It is envisaged that the closure will be in place between 25th July 2019 and 31st July 2019.

(OVERDOWN ROAD, TRING ROAD, FAIRFORD ROAD, TILEHURST) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING

AND TEMPORARY 20 MPH SPEED LIMIT

AND NO WAITING) ORDER 2019

The Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over Overdown Road, between its junction with Brooksby Road and its junction with Dark Lane. The order will also prohibit any person from causing a vehicle to exceed twenty miles per hour in any direction or wait over Tring Road & Fairford Road, no waiting will be permitted 12 hours prior to the start of closure to facilitate works.

The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order is via Dark Lane, Long Lane, Knowsley Road, A329 (Oxford Rd), into Overdown Road and vice versa. The purpose of this Order is to enable contractors to replace the Gas main within the carriageway The proposed Order will come into effect on 5th August 2019. It is envisaged that the closure will be in place between 5th August 2019 and 14th February 2020.

Unless stated otherwise the above orders shall remain in force for a period of eighteen months, or until the works are complete, whichever is the soonest, they will not take effect until approved traffic signs have been erected. Final details of the closure can be viewed on
