HOOK ROAD (B284), EPSOM -TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ORDER 2019
ON 17 JULY 2019 SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL MADE the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to: a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Hook Road (B284), Epsom that extends from its junction with Chase Road (C195) to the eastern property boundary of the ambulance station; b) (i) impose a temporary westbound one way system in the entire
length of Chase Road (C195), Epsom; (ii) impose a temporary north-westbound one way system in the entire length of Temple Road (C195), Epsom; (iii) impose a temporary east bound one way system in that length of Pound Lane (D2345), Epsom that extends from its junction with Temple Road (C195), to join the existing eastbound
one-way system; and (iv) impose a temporary south-eastbound one way system in that length of Hook Road (B284), Epsom that extends from its junction with Pound Lane (D2345), to its junction with Chase Road (C195). This Traffic Order is required to enable SGN to carry out gas main replacement works. These works are anticipated to be carried out within 6weeks of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 25 July 2019. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure and one-way system which are anticipated will be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians; dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to maintain any vehicular access through the works area however no sole access will be affected;
access for emergency vehicles, residences and businesses will be maintained via the vehicular diversion routes
described below: For part a) north-westbound HGVs will be diverted via Reigate Road, College Road, Alexandra Road, Upper High Street, High Street, Ashley Road, Ashley Avenue, South Street, High Street, Waterloo Road, Temple Road, Pound Lane and Hook Road; non HGV traffic will be diverted via East Street, High Street, Ashley Road, Ashley Avenue, South Street, High Street, Waterloo Road, Temple Road, Pound Lane and Hook Road. South-eastbound HGVs will be diverted via Hook Road, Chase Road, Waterloo Road, High Street, Upper High Street, Alexandra Road, College Road and Reigate Road; non HGV traffic will be diverted via Hook Road (B284), Chase Road, Waterloo Road, HighStreet, East Street and Hook Road. b) all vehicular traffic will be diverted via Hook Road, Chase Road Temple Road, Pound Lane and Hook Road. WEST STREET (D2441), EWELL TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2019
SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL PROPOSE TO MAKE the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of West Street (D2441), Ewell that extends from its junction with The Rise (D2356) to its junction with Ewell
High Street (B2200). This Traffic Order is required to enable minor footway and road improvements associated with development of Ewell Grove Primary School on behalf of Surrey County Council and/or any statutory undertaker in
connection with works in relation to the development of Ewell Grove Primary School. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9:30am and 4.30pm within 3weeks of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 05 August 2019.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians and; dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. In the event that it is necessary to restrict anyaccess at anytime under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. The vehicular diversion route for residences and businesses will be via High Street, Epsom Road, The Kingsway and The Rise. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle's owner.
