THE A36 TRUNK ROAD (CROCKERTON TO DEPTFORD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2019

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited (a) intends to make an Order on the A36 trunk road near Warminster in the County of Wiltshire to allow resurfacing and general maintenance works to be carried out in safety.

The works are expected to take place overnight (20.00 to 06.00) commencing on or after 9 August 2019 and be completed by 22 August 2019. The effect of the Order would be to:

(a) authorise the overnight closure of the A36 northbound and southbound between Deptford Junction and Crockerton Roundabout;



(b) authorise the overnight closure of the slip roads from the A303 eastbound to the A36;



(c) authorise the closure of the laybys on the length of the A36 given at (a) above;



During the closure and described above, traffic would be diverted via the A350 and A303. The closures (which would not apply to emergency service, traffic officer or works vehicles), and diversion route would be clearly indicated by traffic signs throughout the works. The Order would come into force on 7 August 2019 and have a maximum duration of 18 months.

THE A36 TRUNK ROAD (ALDERBURY)

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION AND

PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2019

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited (a) has made an Order on the A36 trunk road near Alderbury in the County of Wiltshire to allow drainage and general maintenance works to be carried out in safety The works are expected to take place commencing on or after 23 July 2019 and be completed by 30 September 2019. The effect of the Order will be to:

(d) authorise the overnight closure (20.00 - 06.00) of the A36 southbound from Southampton Road Junction to Alderbury Junction;



(e) authorise the overnight closure (20.00 - 06.00) of the southbound exit slip road at Alderbury Junction;



(f) authorise the closure of the laybys on the length of the A36 given at (a) above;



(g) impose a mandatory 40 mph speed limit on the A36 southbound from Petersfinger Road to Alderbury Junction;



(h) prohibit vehicles over 3.25 metres wide for the length of the A36 given at (a) above.



During the closure and width restriction described above, traffic will be diverted via Southampton Road.

The closures (which will not apply to emergency service, traffic officer or works vehicles), speed limit, width restriction and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs throughout the works.

The Order will come into force on 21 July 2019 and have a maximum duration of 18 months.
