SOUTHEND-ON-SEA BOROUGH COUNCIL
(BEACH AVENUE LEIGH-ON-SEA) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) EXPERIMENTAL ORDER 2019 ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Southend-on-Sea Borough Council, acting as the local highway authority, made an Experimental Traffic Regulation Order under Section 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act, the effect of which wil prohibit waiting, in the section of roads described in Schedule 1 below and update Map Tiles S11, T11 &T12; and the revocation of the item listed in Schedule 2
The Experimental Order shall come into operation on 23rd July 2019 and shall remain in force unti
23rd January 2021, during which time the Council will monitor the scheme and consider
representations made to it before deciding whether or not to introduce a permanent scheme
A copy of the Experimental Order, togetherwith a map showing the road to which the Experimenta
Order relates and the statement of reasons for making the Order, may be viewed at the Contact
Centre on the ground floor of the Civic Centre (address below) during normal office hours

W ith in a peri od of six months from the Experimental Order com ing into force, or if that order is
subsequently varied by another order under that Section or modified pursuant to sub-section 2
of Section 10 of the Act, from the com ing into operation of that variat ion or mod ificati on (wh ichever
is the latest), any person may object to the making of an order for the purposes of such indefinite
continuation. Objections to the provisions of this Experimental Order being made permanent,
together with the grounds on which they are made, must be sent in writing to Deputy Chief
Executive (Place) and marked for the attention of the Traffic Management & Road Safety
Team at the address below by no later than 16th January 2020.
All written representations received concerning Traffic Regulation Orders are public documents that
may be inspected by any person on demand.
