MAWBRAY COMMON

Allerdale Borough Council has applied to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for consent under section 38 of the Commons Act 2006 to carry out restricted works on Mawbray Common. The Planning Inspectorate will decide on the application on behalf of the Secretary of State.

The proposed works are:

(i) the construction of a new multi-user path.

The works will commence to the north of the entrance of the informal car park to the north west of Bankmill Nurseries (on land to the west of the B5300) and will run north within the common where they will terminate as the proposed cycle way rejoins the B5300).

The works will recommence on land to the north of Solway Crest, Beckfoot where they will connect with land to the north outside of the common land. A copy of the application form and accompanying documents showing the proposed works can be inspected at Allerdale Borough Council, Allerdale House, New Bridge Road, Workington, CA14 3YJ between normal office hours until the 16/08/19. A copy of the application form and accompanying documents may be obtained from Allerdale Borough Council at the address above.
