Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Islip, Lower Street and Middle Street Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 1 July 2019 Coming into force: 8 July 2019 This Order is being introduced because of water mains renewal works which are anticipated to take 4 weeks to complete. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the whole length of Lower Street and the eastern section of Middle Street to North Street. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.

The alternative route for traffic is via North Street and Mill Street and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref.T6727)

Ardley, Somerton Road Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 15 July 2019 Coming intoforce: 22 July2019 This Order is being introduced because of two sets of water mains renewal works which are anticipated to take approx. 4 weeks, and 16 days respectively to complete. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding (1) in Church Road, and (2) the section of Somerton Road, west of Church Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative routes for traffic are (1) via Station Road and Somerton Road, and (2) Water Lane -Ardley Road - Station Road and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner (Ref T6589)
