Notice of Making
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Wigan Borough Council, in exercise of its powers under Section 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004, has made the Wigan Borough (Decriminalisation of Parking) (Various Roads in Wigan Borough) (Traffic Regulation Consolidation) Order 2004 (Amendment No.461) Order 2019 which will come into operation on 5th July 2019.
The effect of the Order will be to revoke no waiting at any time on:
Hough Lane, Tyldesley (West Side) from its junction with Sale Lane to a point 160 metres south of its junction with Sale Lane.

The effect of the Order will be to introduce no waiting at any time on:
Hough Lane, Tyldesley (West Side) from its junction with Sale Lane to a point 237 metres south of its junction with Sale Lane

A copy of the Order and of the relevant map may be inspected at the Town Hall, Library Street, Wigan, between 9am and 4.30pm on any day from Monday to Friday.
Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained therein on the ground -
(a) that it is not within the powers of Section 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984; or the Traffic Management Act 2004 or

(b) that any requirement of the said Section 1, or of Part III of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or of any regulations made under the said Part III of Schedule 9 or of any requirement of the 2004 Act, has not been complied with, may within six weeks of 17th June 2019 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
