Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention

NOTICE Is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: A456, Little Hereford, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the A456, Little Hereford, from Jen w/Railway Cottage layby for 1250 meters to Jen with St Marys church. Grid Ref: 357183/268255 to 357430/268346. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via A443 onto Main Road, onto Hylton Road, onto Tybridge Street, onto Bromyard Road, onto the A44, onto the A49 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to BT underground structure works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 22nd of July 2019 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 5 days.
