WEST BERKSHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL

(TIDMARSH ROAD, TIDMARSH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2019

West Berkshire District Council has made an Order in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over Tidmarsh Road between its junction with Tidmarsh Lane and its junction with Flowers Hill. The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order is via A4 (Bath Rd), A4155 (Castle Hill), A329 (Chatham St), A329 (Oxford Rd), A329 (Purley Rise) A329 (Reading Rd), High St (Pangbourne), Church Rd, Tidmarsh Rd, and vice versa.

The purpose of this Order is to enable contractors to complete a new water connection. The proposed Order will come into effect on 23rd June 2019. It is envisaged that the closure will be in place between 23rd June 2019 and 27th June 2019. The Order shall remain in force for a period of Eighteen months, or until the works are complete, whichever is the soonest. The Order shall not take effect until signs in accordance with The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 have been erected
