(BELMONT. CARRVTLLE & GILESGATE) (PARKING & WAITING RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2013 (AMENDMENT No. 2) ORDER 2019

The Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2 & 4 & Pt IV of Sen. 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, its effect being to introduce No Waiting At Any Time restrictions on Green Ln, Gilesgate both sides from the junction with Sunderland Rd north westerly for 68m. A copy of the draft Order and supporting documents may be inspected at Belmont Library and at County Hall, Durham during normal opening hours and via the Council website. Anyone wishing to support/object to the proposals should submit this in writing to Sharon Renwick, Legal Assistant at County Hall, Durham or by email to

(HARLE STREET AND BROWNEY LANE. BROWNEY) (20MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2019

The Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 84 & 87 of the Road lYaffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is to replace the existing 30mph speed limit with a 20mph speed limit on 1. Browney Ln rear from its junction with Browney Ln for its entire Length. 2. Harle St from its junction with Browney Ln for its entire length. A copy of the draft Order and supporting information may be inspected at Brandon Library and at County Hall, Durham during normal opening hours and via the council website. Any person who wishes to object to the proposed Order should send their grounds of objection in writing to Sharon Renwick, Legal Assistant at County Hall, Durham or by email to

(B6309 AND B6310 MEDOMSLEY CROSSROADS) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2019

The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on 2624 mtrs of B6309 from junction with A694 Ebchester in a southerly direction to the Hat and Feather crossroads, and 1711 mtrs of B6310 from junction with Elm Park Rd in a north easterly direction to the junction with C132 Medomsley Edge to enable carriageway resurfacing works to be undertaken. Alternative routes will be signposted from northern point of closure in Ebchester north easterly on A694, then south westerly on B6310 Longclose Bank, then southerly on B6308 Fines Rd, then northerly on B6309, then south westerly on B6308 Medomsley Rd to junction with A691 roundabout, and vice versa; and from northern point of closure in Ebchester in a south westerly direction on A694, then south easterly on A691, then south easterly on A692 to B6309 Durham Rd/A691 roundabout junction, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence from 7.00am on 11/07/19 working between 7am and 7pm per day and are anticipated to be completed in 6 days. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly. Access will be maintained for emergency services.

(ELIZABETH STREET. ANNFIELD PLAIN) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2019

The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic, except for access to emergency service vehicles, from proceeding on 94 mtrs of Elizabeth St, Annfield Plain to enable essential gas mains replacement works to be undertaken. Alternative route from the southern point of closure easterly on Welsh Tee and northwards on Thomas St to northern point of closure, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 8/7/19 and are anticipated to be completed in 2 weeks. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly. Access will be maintained for emergency services.
