THE SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL RUXLEY LANE (B284), WEST EWELL TEMPORARYPROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2019
ON 19 JUNE 2019 SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL MADE the above mentioned TemporaryOrder under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in thatlength of Ruxley Lane (B284), West Ewell thatextends from the north-western property boundaryofNo.85 Ruxley Lane to apoint 10m north-west of its junction with Merchant Close. This Traffic Order is required to enable carriageway maintenance, patching and/or surfacing works on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are
anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8pm
and 6am, as soon as possible within the 18 month period
of operation of this TemporaryOrder thatcommences on
27 June 2019. Advanced warning signs will be displayed
and the temporaryclosure will only operate when the
relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians; dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for residences and
businesses will be maintained via the vehicular diversion
which will be: Clockwise - Ruxley Lane, Kingston Road, Ewell By-Pass, London Road, High Street, Spring Street,
Chessington Road and Ruxley Lane. Anticlockwise Ruxley Lane, Chessington Road, London Road, Ewell By-Pass, Kingston Road and Ruxley Lane. Anyvehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be
removed to asuitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle'sowner.
