SOUTHEND-ON-SEA BOROUGH COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS WESTCLIFF-ON-SEA & SOUTHEND-ON-SEA) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ENTRY, WAITING, LOADING & UNLOADING & TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY STREET ORDER) ORDER 2019 ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
Notice is hereby given that the Southend-on-Sea Borough Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order To temporarily close and prohibit waiting, loading and unloading on the following dates and in those lengths of: 27th & 28th June (Remove Islands)
To temporarily close and prohibit waiting, loading and unloading on the following dates and in those lengths of:
Cambridge Road from the junction of Milton Place to the junction with Cashiobury Terrace
Alexandra Road from the junction of Prittlewell Square East to outside 84 Alexandra Road 1st & 2nd July (Road Resurfacing)
Capel Terrace; Devereux Road; Nelson Street; Nelson Mews; Cashiobury Terrace, Prittlewell Square East and West; and Runwell Terrace in their entirety; Alexandra Street from the junction with Devereux Road to the junction with Clarence Road; Alexandra Road from the junction with Devereux Road to outside 84 Alexandra Road and Cambridge Road from the junction with Milton Place to the junction with Cashiobury Terrace 3rd-9th July (Install Island)
Cambridge Road from the junction of Milton Place to the junction with Cashiobury Terrace 10th-16th July (install Island)
Alexandra Road from the junction of Prittlewell Square East to outside 84 Alexandra Road Whilst works take place the following One Way traffic flows will be temporarily suspended thereby making the roads Two-Way
Cambridge Road, Nelson Street, Devereux Road, Capel Terrace, Alexandra Road, Prittlewell Square (both arms) and Runwell Terrace
The closures are scheduled to commence on 27th June or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. Whilst the closures are in force, residents and emergency services access will be maintained where possible.The works will be carried out in phases and diversion routes will be signed accordingly on site.
The Order will come into effect on 25th June 2019 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while footway and carriageway resurfacing works are carried out on these roads.
