The Borough of Blackburn with Darwen

(Branch Road, Blackburn) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2019

NOTICE is hereby given that the Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, made the above Order under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the Order is to close Branch Road from its junction with Bolton Road to its junction with Cross Street.

The closure is necessary for the following reason: New 600mm diameter transfer sewer by augerbore.

The Order will come into force on 18th June 2019 and shall continue in force for a period of eighteen months or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 10th September 2019.

The alternative route for the affected traffic will be Blackburn Road, Duchess Street, Earcroft Way, Paul Rink Way, Fore Street, Greenbank Terrace, Bolton Road

Access for emergency vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times.
