(B6309 AND B6308. LEADGATE) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2019

The Council on 6/6/19 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic, except for access to emergency service vehicles, from proceeding on 918 mtrs of B6309 between Medomsley Edge crossroads junction in a south easterly direction to junction with B6308 Fines Rd, and 261 mtrs of B6308 from junction with B6309 in a southerly direction to junction with Elm Park Rd (phase 1); and 127 mtrs of B6308 Fines Rd between junction with Pont Ln in a south westerly direction to junction with B6309, and 872 mtrs of B6309 from junction with B6308 Fines Rd in a south eastErly direction to junction with unnamed road that runs between B6309 and Pont Ln (phase 2) to enable carriageway resurfacing works to be undertaken. Alternative route for phase 1, from northern point of closure north easterly on B6310 and southerly on B6308 Fines Rd to southern point of closure and vice versa; and from southern point of closure on B6308 in a southerly direction to A691 roundabout junction, then south easterly on A691 to A692 roundabout, then south easterly and north easterly on A692, and then north westerly on Pont Ln, men northerly on B6308 Fines Rd, then westerly on B6310 to northern point of closure, and vice versa. Alternative route for phase 2 from northern point of closure on B6309 in a southerly direction on B6308 to A691 roundabout junction, then south easterly on A691 to A692 roundabout, then south easterly and north easterly on A692, and then: a) either north westerly on Pont Ln to point of closure on B6308 Fines Rd and vice versa, or b) westerly on St Ives Rd to southern point of closure, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 1676/19 between 7am and 7pm per day and are anticipated to be complete by 25/6/19. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.

(B6312 / B6532 SACRISTON CROSSROADS) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2019

The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on Phase 1 a) B6312 Plawsworth Rd from and including B6532 Sacriston crossroads that extends eastwards for a distance of 75 mtrs to the junction to Graham Court and Sacriston Ind Est b) B6532 Front St that extends northwards from Sacriston crossroads for a distance of 65 mtrs to 9 Front St c) B6532 Durham Rd that extends southwards from Sacriston crossroads for a distance of 65 mtrs to 9 Fyndoune Phase 2 B6312 Witton Rd that extends westwards from Sacriston crossroads for a distance of 162 m to outside 1 Mafeking Tee to enable carriageway resurfacing works to be undertaken. Alternative routes from the southern side of the closure from B6532 southerly to Framwellgate Moor and continuing on Dryburn Park road to A167 Sniperley Roundabout a) Then northerly on A167: a. To the Red Lion Roundabout then west on B6312 to the eastern side of the closure, and vice versa b. To Chester Moor Roundabout and turning left toward Waldridge to Waldridge Rd Roundabout then west to Edmondsley to the northern side of the closure, and vice versa b) Then north westerly on A691 to Witton Gilbert and the junction with B6312 to the western side of the closure and vice versa. Vehicles travelling south on B6532 to Sacriston will be directed south easterly on Cross Lane then easterly on B6312 to A167 to follow the diversion in a) a. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are required daily between 7.00 am and 7.00 pm on the two weekends of 29 & 30 June and 6 & 7 July 2019. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.

(PROW FOOTPATH 42 DURHAM CITY) (TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER 2019

The Council on 6/6/19 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all pedestrian traffic from proceeding on a 433m section of Footpath 42 Durham City from Durham Rugby Club in a southerly direction to where it meets Footpath 41 at the River Wear to enable footpath reconstruction and widening, and introduction of street lighting works to be undertaken. Alternative route from the northern point of closure south on Whinney Hill, then south east on A177, then in a northerly and easterly direction on Footpath 41 to southern point of closure, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 6 months. The proposed works are to commence from 8am on 17/6/19 and are anticipated to be completed in 2 months. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.

(A181/B1283 DURHAM) (DE-RESTRICTED SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2019

The Council intend to make an Order under Sections 84 & 87 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to introduce a de-restricted speed limit (60mph) on: a) A181 Sherburn Rd/B1283 (from A181 Junction to Kidd Ave.), from 200m west of its junction with A181 Sherburn Rd to Silent Bank to 35m east of its junctions with Sherburn Grange Rd; and b) A181 Sherburn Rd to Silent Bank from its junction with A181 Sherburn Rd to 85m north west of its junction with the access road to Sherburn House. A copy of the draft Order and plan for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at County Hall, Durham and at Belmont Library during normal opening hours and via the council's website. (UNC MAIDEN VIEW. MAIDEN LAW) (20MPH SPEED ZONE) ORDER 2019

The Council on 6/6/2019 made the above Order under Sections 84 & 87 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. Effective from 10/6/2019 this Order will introduce a 20mph Zone on Maiden View from a point 8 metres north west of its junction with A6076 Howden Bank, generally in a north westerly direction for its entire length. Full details can be examined at Lanchester library & County Hall, Durham during normal opening hours or via the Council website. If you believe this Order is invalid because it does not comply with the legal requirements, you can apply to the High Court by 27/7/2019.

(UNC THE GLADE. SCARISTON) (20MPH SPEED ZONE) ORDER 2019

The Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 84 and 87 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to introduce a 20mph Zone on 1. The Glade from a point 4m south of its junction with Acorn Close Ln, generally in a southerly direction for its entire length. 2. The Glade from a point 4.5m west of its junction with Acorn Close in a generally westerly direction for its entire length. A copy of the draft Order and plan may be inspected at Sacriston Library and at County Hail, Durham during normal opening hours and via the council website. Any person who wishes to object to the proposed Order should send their grounds of objection in writing to Sharon Renwick, Legal Assistant at County Hall, Durham or by email to
