Temporary Closure of Goulds Hill, Near Martinstown
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Goulds Hill,near Martinstown from B3159 to Weymouth Road a distance of approximately 1995 metres. The Order is needed in orderto comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of dangerto highway users. It will come into operation on 24 June 2019 between 0900 and 1600 and will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport if necessary; however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 5 July 2019. Outside of 0900 and 1600 there will be temporary traffic signals in place.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance works. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

Restriction of Waiting
Dorset Council has made an Amendment Orderto 'The Borough of Weymouth and Portland (Waiting Restrictions) (Consolidation) Order 2011' under relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ('the Act') and of the Traffic Management Act 2004 and of The Local Authorities' Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with statutory requirement and in compliance with the 1996 Regulations.
When the Order comes into operation on 14 June 2019 the effect of the Order will be to change the disabled bay in Frederick Place to a maximum stay of 3 hours and to extend the double yellow lines in Oakley Place on the eastern side from its junction with St Leonards Road in a southerly direction to its junction with the access road to the garages.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provisions contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any Instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation tothe Orderyou may within six weeks of the date of this Notice apply to the High Court for that purpose.
