Temporary Closure of C33, Woodsford
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along C33, WOODSFORD from its junction with Lower Lewell Farm to Portland House, a distance of approximately 2500 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which requirethe provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 28 May 2019 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 20 September 2019.
This Order will enable Wessex Water, safe access to carry out the replacement of new water main in the highway.
An alternative route will be signed using: Highgate Lane - Frome Valley Road - Higher Woodsford Road

Temporary Closure of Frome St Quintin Road, Frome St Quintin
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along FROME ST QUINTIN ROAD, FROME ST QUINTIN at Higher Chalmington, a distance of approximately 285 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on 27 May 2019 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 28 June 2019. The road will be open outside of these times, and also over the weekend. Please note that the dates are a window of opportunity, and the road may not be closed for the whole duration stated above. The closure is also weather dependant. This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out the replacement of a small culvert. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections. Temporary Closure of Lower Way, Chickerell
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along LOWER WAY, CHICKERELL in sections as indicated by signs on site. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 5 June 2019 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 16June2019.
This Order will enable SGN, safe access to lay gas main and associated connections & services in the highway.
An alternative route will be signed using: East Street- Putton Lane - Lower Way- Rashley Road - Rex Lane.

The County of Dorset (Prohibition of Driving) (St Alban Street, Weymouth) Experimental Order 2019
Notice is hereby given that Dorset Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2,3,9,10 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act") and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of the Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act hereby makes the above Experimental Traffic Order ("the Order").
The Order will come into operation on 7 June 2019 and will introduce prohibition of driving on those parts of roads detailed below and illustrated on the plan accompanying this notice.
The effect of the Order will beto in introduce a prohibition of driving between 10.30am and 5.30pm the following lengths of St Alban Street in Weymouth:
- From its junction with Maiden Street to its junction with East Street

- From its junction with East Street to its junction with Esplanade

Relevant exemptions will apply where appropriate and as necessary in accordance with the provisions of the Order. The reasons for proceeding by way of experimental order is to assess the effects of the changes before Dorset Council consider whether the provisions of the experimental Traffic Order shall continue in force indefinitely. The Order can continue in force for a maximum of 18 months. Within a period of 6 months from the coming into operation of the Order, or within 6 months of any subsequent variation or modification to the Order coming into force, whichever may be the later, any person may object to the making of a permanent order. Any such objection must be in writing, stating the grounds on which it is made and be addressed to Regulation Team, (2273/1/48), Dorset Highways, Dorset Council, County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester, Dorset, DT1 1XJ or sent by email to

Extension of Age Range at Charmouth Primary School
By Virtue of Schedule 3 of the School Organisation (Prescribed Alterationsto Maintained Schools) (England) Regulations 2013, Dorset Council is required to consult on changes to provision at Maintained Schools including alteration of upper or lower age range by 1 year or more (including the removal of nursery provision). Following extensive consultation with schools and community notice is hereby given for the following changes:
1. Charmouth Primary School will extend their provision to include 3-4 Pre-School Provision.

2. Charmouth Primary School will then formally extended their age range from 4-11 to 3-11 provision from the 1

September 2019.
