ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14

THE A1(M) MOTORWAY (JUNCTION 63) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited intends to make an Order on the A1(M) Motorway, in the County of Durham, to enable electrical loop repair works to be carried out in safety. The works are expected to start on Monday 24 June 2019 for 1 night, or until completed, and will take place between 8pm and 5:30am. The effect of the Order will be to close, at times during the works, the A1(M) northbound carriageway from the exit slip road to the entry slip road at Junction 63 (Blind Lane Interchange), a distance of 902 metres. During the closures suitably signed alternative routes will be available at all times. Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibition (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance or traffic officer purposes). The Order comes into force on 23 June 2019 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.
