THE BOLTON (CIVIC EVENTS HORWICH) (TEMPORARY CLOSURES, SUSPENSIONS AND PROHIBITION OF WAITING) (

) ORDER 2019

The Council Intends to make an order which will enable the following event to take place In Horwich on dates as indicated:

HORWICH FESTIVAL OF RACING

Saturday 15 June 7am until Sunday 16 June 6pm,

Jones Street will be closed for its entire length.

Saturday 15 June, from 5.30pm to 10.30pm and

Sunday 16 June, from 6am to 6pm, the following

roads will be closed:

Lee Lane for its entire length,

Winter Hey Lane for its entire length,

St John Street for its entire length,

Chorley New Road between Crown Lane & Winter

Hey Lane.

On Saturday 15 June & Sunday 16 June:

(a) the 7.5 tonne weight restriction except for access will be suspended, on Mason Street, Vale Avenue, Crown Lane & Station Road.



(b) there will be a temporary prohibition of waiting restriction established on Crown Lane (east side) from Chorley New Rd to 15m south of Vale Ave; on Vale Avenue (both sides) entire length; on Mason St (south side) from Vale Ave to 50m west of Greenstone Ave; on Mason Street (north side) from 60m west of Tomlinson St to Vale Ave; on Scholes Bank, (south side) from Chorley New Rd to Lever Park Ave.



Alternative routes for traffic will be signed.
